A Greek Revival church built in 1839, the church is listed on the New Jersey as well as the National Register of Historic Places. Another important site is found in the church’s graveyard. It’s there that a 600-year-old white oak tree marks the spot where it is commonly recognized that General George Washington would collect his thoughts and enjoy a picnic during the late 1770’s.
